Features

Brown fused alumina is also called brown corundum, is formed by melting and crystallization of high-quality raw materials such as bauxite and anthracite-based coke at high temperature. The main mineral components of brown corundum are physical corundum, trigonal crystal system, and mineral impurities are: calcium silicate, anorthite, mullite (also known as mullite), titanium compounds, glass body and iron alloys.

Brown fused alumina has the characteristics of high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion and corrosion resistance. Abrasives made of it are suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as carbon steel, general alloy steel, annealed malleable cast iron and hard bronze, etc., and can also be used as refractory materials.
